FROM THE CUTTING ROOM FLOOR

Not everything that looks good should make it in.

Editorial discretion shapes every project.

DIRECTOR'S NOTES

Maintaining Emotional Balance for Digital Actors

AI filmmaking isn’t traditional filmmaking.
There are no live actors, physical sets, or on-set logistics — but the precision required is no less demanding.

When the goal is human, grounded output, tone, restraint, and editorial judgment matter as much as visuals.

This piece didn’t make the final cut to preserve that balance.

See the BTS video for Holding Back the Tears.

Angles & Pacing with the Absence of a Camera

Quality AI narrative work depends on more than visuals — it requires control over pacing, framing, and tone.

This piece explored camera angle and temporal rhythm to carry the emotional feel of the scene without speed manipulation.

It didn’t make the final cut due to object-identity drift and background character behavior that disrupted coherence.

The protagonist’s performance, however, was precise and structurally strong, delivering the intended pacing exactly as designed.
